Student Data & Privacy

In order for the Roxbury Township Public Schools to prepare our students of today for tomorrow, we need to provide them with an engaging, personalized curriculum that will inspire and empower them to flourish as ethical and global citizens in the 21st century. One of the ways in which Roxbury Public Schools is committed to achieving this mission is by creating digital learning environments.

Student and teacher use of technology has increased exponentially within our District within the past few years, enabling us to personalize instruction and increase student engagement. There are numerous apps and websites that students and teachers have found that enhance the curriculum. With all of the benefits we are experiencing with digital learning, we are also aware of the potential misuse of student data and privacy concerns and are committed to the safety and privacy of our students when it comes to using digital resources.

The Student Data and Privacy topic is an important one and one that is evolving at a rapid pace. We hope this website will serve as a resource for students, parents and educators to not only learn about the laws, but to understand what we are trying to do to create a District student privacy program to ensure the safety and privacy of our students.
