Two from Roxbury Named 2023-2024 ITEEA Award Winners

ROXBURY, NJ (April 24, 2024) – At its 2024 Annual Conference held March 6-9th in Memphis, TN, International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) presented multiple awards and recognitions to teachers, students, and programs from around the country that exemplify excellence in the field of technology and engineering education.

From Roxbury, two individuals were awarded honors for the work they do with Roxbury’s Structural Design and Fabrication (SDF) program.

Roxbury High School’s SDF teacher Frank Caccavale was named one of the Outstanding ITEEA State Champions along with eleven other teachers from around the country while Roxbury’s Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Charles Seipp was awarded Outstanding Local Leader from the Council for STEM Leadership.

In addition to these individual awards, Roxbury High School was also recognized as an ITEEA STEM School of Excellence K-12. This recognition honors schools who have demonstrated a commitment to providing a robust integrative STEM education program.

ITEEA is the professional organization for technology, innovation, design, and engineering educators. Its mission is to promote technological literacy for all by supporting the teaching of technology and promoting the professionalism of those engaged in these pursuits. ITEEA strengthens the profession though leadership, professional development, membership services, publications, and classroom activities.
